Rising country star Josh Ross has unveiled his latest track, “Movin’ On,” a heartfelt anthem about navigating the complexities of post-breakup life. Co-written with Chris LaCorte, Jacob Hackworth, Jaxson Free, and Taylor Phillips, the song was produced by Matt Geroux and showcases a fresh side of Ross both lyrically and sonically.
“‘Movin’ On’ was inspired by those relationships where one person decides to call it off but struggles to truly let go and move forward,” Ross explained. “I’ve loved playing it on the road for the last few months and seeing how fans connect with it. I’m so excited it’s finally out.”
The release marks another milestone in what has been a monumental year for Ross. On the red carpet at this week’s CMA Awards, he received the CMA Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award, presented by host Luke Bryan in a surprise mid-interview moment. The honor celebrates Ross’s remarkable achievements as an artist who has made a global impact on country music.
In the past year alone, Ross has been named CCMA Entertainer of the Year, headlined his first U.S. tour, performed in four countries, and shared the stage with stars like Bryan during the Mind of a Country Boy Tour.
Ross is also climbing the charts with his single “Single Again,” a track described as “an immediate piece of ear candy” by Country Swag. The song, inspired by real-life events, underscores Ross’s ability to pour raw emotion into his songwriting—a skill that has earned him critical praise.
The music video for “Single Again” recently premiered, adding another layer to Ross’s growing success. As he continues to rise in the country music world, “Movin’ On” further cements his reputation as a standout artist on the scene.
