Michelle Williams, former member of Destiny’s Child, made her Broadway return with a stunning debut in the musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her. Supporting her milestone moment were fellow groupmates Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, who attended the premiere to cheer her on. Williams plays the character of Viola Van Horn in the production, inspired by the iconic 1992 film starring Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, and Bruce Willis.
This is far from Williams’ first venture into Broadway. She initially stepped into the theater spotlight in 2003, replacing Toni Braxton in Aida. Since then, her impressive Broadway credits include The Color Purple, Chicago (2009-2010), What My Husband Doesn’t Know (2011), Fela! (2013), and Jesus Christ Superstar (2014). Beyoncé shared a glimpse of the special night with fans via an Instagram reel, highlighting their continued bond and support.
