Patsy Cline’s powerful influence on country music remains undeniable, even more than 60 years after her tragic death in a plane crash. To honor the legendary singer’s timeless contributions, PBS will air a special tribute concert, Great Performances – Patsy Cline: Walkin’ After Midnight, Friday at 9 p.m. ET.

The 90-minute broadcast, filmed in April at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, features an impressive lineup of artists performing some of Cline’s greatest hits, as well as songs inspired by her career. Among the headliners is Wynonna Judd, who takes center stage with a stirring performance of “Sweet Dreams (of You)” and returns later to close the show with Cline’s iconic track “Crazy,” written by Willie Nelson.

Other major stars participating include Ashley McBryde, Crystal Gayle, Mickey Guyton, Kristin Chenoweth, Rita Wilson, Kellie Pickler, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Grace Potter, and Beverly D’Angelo, who famously portrayed Cline in the film Coal Miner’s Daughter. The tribute also features Mandy Barnett, known for her portrayal of Cline in the musical Always… Patsy Cline.

Kristin Chenoweth, who performs “I Fall to Pieces,” shared her personal connection to Cline’s music, recalling how the country legend’s voice shaped her own vocal journey. “I learned by listening to her,” Chenoweth said, reflecting on the profound impact Cline’s music had on her as a young singer.

This heartfelt tribute concert is a celebration of Patsy Cline’s enduring legacy, bringing together a mix of country, pop, and Broadway talent to honor one of music’s most beloved voices. Tune in Friday to relive the magic of Patsy Cline’s music on PBS.
