Drake’s long-awaited return to Australia will coincide with a monumental event in the music world: Kendrick Lamar’s headline performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. The two rap giants, whose rivalry has dominated headlines next year with a series of diss tracks, are set to clash on February 9, 2025.
While Kendrick Lamar prepares for the prestigious Super Bowl stage in New Orleans, Drake revealed that his Australian tour will kick off on the same day. The tour, titled Anita Max Wynn, will see the Canadian rapper performing in Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast. The name of the tour is a nod to Drake’s alter ego, a playful reference to gambling terminology.
In a conversation with popular streamer xQc, Drake teased that his upcoming album with PARTYNEXTDOOR is “75% done” and confirmed that the tour would be exclusive to Australia. The announcement comes shortly after Kendrick Lamar dropped his surprise album GNX, marking his first release since 2022’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. While Kendrick does not directly mention Drake on GNX, he takes aim at figures who have supported his rival, including Snoop Dogg.
As the two artists continue to exchange barbs, their musical rivalry is sure to captivate fans around the globe.
