Beyoncé may have missed out on recognition at the Country Music Association Awards, but her album Cowboy Carter continues to make waves in the country music scene. The singer has garnered multiple nominations in the country music categories for the upcoming Billboard Music Awards, marking a significant achievement in her cross-genre success.
Nominated for Top Country Female Artist, Top Dance/Electronic Artist, and Top Country Album, Beyoncé is making her debut in country music categories at the Billboard Music Awards. The ceremony, set to air on December 12, will see Beyoncé compete for the first time in these categories, alongside her 16 previous career wins at the awards.
These nominations come just days after Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter was overlooked at the CMA Awards. However, the album continues to shine on other prestigious stages, having earned 11 Grammy nominations, including five in the country and American roots categories. Seven songs from Cowboy Carter are nominated across multiple genres, with Beyoncé securing more country nominations than any other artist this year.
