TWICE captivated Los Angeles this past week with a series of record-breaking events, building anticipation for their upcoming mini album STRATEGY. From a groundbreaking performance at Amazon Music Live to an exclusive fan pop-up and a virtual meet-and-greet, the K-pop superstars delivered an unforgettable weekend for their global fanbase, ONCE.
The excitement kicked off on Thursday, November 21, when TWICE made history as the first K-pop group to headline Amazon Music Live, a show that follows the NFL’s Thursday Night Football on Amazon. The performance shattered records on both Twitch and Prime Video, attracting the highest number of unique viewers for any Amazon Music event to date. Influential Twitch streamers, including the platform’s most-followed female, Pokimane, and ExtraEmily, who streamed the show to her 440,000 followers, helped draw even more eyes to the monumental performance.
During the show, TWICE treated fans to a mix of iconic K-pop hits such as “Fancy” and “I Can’t Stop Me,” as well as their popular English singles “The Feels” and “Moonlight Sunrise.” They also performed tracks from their With YOU album, which made history by topping the Billboard 200 earlier this year, marking TWICE’s first-ever No. 1 album in the U.S.
The event also featured an exciting sneak peek at their upcoming STRATEGY album, including a teaser of the title track “Strategy,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. This collaboration follows their remix of Megan’s viral track “Mamushi,” and marks a major milestone for TWICE, as they blend K-pop, J-pop, and Western influences with their first-ever featured artist on a single.
