K-pop sensation ATEEZ has made history by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Nov. 30), marking the group’s first-ever time at the top spot in the chart’s 10-year history. The achievement is driven by the release of their latest EP, Golden Hour: Part.2, which dropped on Nov. 15.
The Artist 100 ranks the most popular artists across various metrics, including album and track sales, streaming, and radio airplay. ATEEZ’s Golden Hour: Part.2 made an impressive debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 184,000 equivalent album units in its first week. This marks ATEEZ’s second No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following their previous chart-topping project, The World EP.Fin: Will, in December 2023. With this milestone, ATEEZ becomes the ninth K-pop group to hit No. 1 on the Artist 100 since the chart’s inception in 2014.
Meanwhile, BTS member JIN re-enters the Artist 100 at a new career-high No. 2, thanks to the success of his solo EP Happy, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 77,000 units. This achievement makes JIN the seventh and final member of BTS to score a solo top 10 entry on the chart.
In the top five of this week’s Artist 100, Linkin Park saw a significant jump, moving from No. 29 to No. 3 following the release of their new album, From Zero, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Sabrina Carpenter follows at No. 4, with Morgan Wallen rounding out the top five at No. 5.
