Power metal legends GLORYHAMMER are ending 2024 with a bang, releasing a surprise single titled “He Has Returned.” The track expands on the saga of the beloved character, the Robot Prince of Auchtertool, while showcasing the band’s growth in both sound and storytelling.
“He Has Returned” seamlessly blends the band’s signature heavy metal riffs with anthemic electro-synths, creating a dynamic fusion of classic and modern elements. The track’s pounding rhythms and dual guitar assaults are complemented by GLORYHAMMER’s trademark sing-along choruses, delivering a powerful listening experience.
In addition to the new single, the band has included two bonus tracks—fresh versions of “The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee” and “Hootsforce.” The former takes fans back to GLORYHAMMER’s 2010 demo, while the latter was originally a breakout hit from their 2019 album Legends From Beyond The Galactic Terrorvortex. With new production work from George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token) and Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Powerwolf), these reimagined classics feel revitalized and ready to make an impact once again.
“He Has Returned” marks a bold step forward for GLORYHAMMER, with a sound that’s more expansive and experimental than ever before. With a full global tour on the horizon and a new album in the works, the band is poised to continue their domination of the modern power metal scene.
