Grammy-winning rapper Drake is set to return to New Zealand in 2025, announcing two highly anticipated shows in Auckland as part of his Anita Max Win tour. The global superstar will perform at Spark Arena on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1.
Drake’s last visit to New Zealand was in November 2017 during his Boy Meets World tour, where he sold out two shows at the same venue. The announcement of his return comes after months of speculation about an upcoming Down Under tour.
Earlier this month, Drake fueled excitement by teasing Australian dates on his Instagram story, confirming his return to Australia after an eight-year hiatus. “February 9th for anybody that’s watching from Australia, I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years,” he told fans, hinting at a series of performances that will stretch into March.
Drake’s tour announcement comes amid ongoing public drama with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. The two artists have been engaged in a musical feud, releasing diss tracks targeting one another. This week, a company owned by Drake filed a petition in a New York court, accusing Universal and Spotify of inflating the success of Lamar’s anti-Drake diss track, Not Like Us.
Tickets for Drake’s Anita Max Win tour are available. Fans can expect a high-energy show as the rapper continues to dominate the global music scene.
