The highly anticipated 2025 edition of the Sick New World Festival has been cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” just weeks after revealing its star-studded lineup. The rock and nu-metal-focused festival, known for its celebration of alternative, goth, and industrial music, was set to return for its third year in Las Vegas.
In an announcement shared on social media, organizers expressed regret over the cancellation, stating, “Despite our best efforts, we’ve encountered unforeseen circumstances that we are unable to overcome for next year’s show.” The statement went on to thank fans for their support and enthusiasm, acknowledging the festival’s dedicated community.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated SNW fans who had made plans to join us for another cultural celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative, and heavy music,” the post continued, adding that ticket holders who purchased through Front Gate Tickets will receive automatic refunds within 30 days.
The 2025 edition of the festival was set to feature co-headliners Metallica and Linkin Park, alongside other major acts like Evanescence, Queens of the Stone Age, and AFI. The cancellation marks a significant blow for the festival’s loyal fanbase, who had eagerly anticipated another weekend of heavy music in Las Vegas.
Fans are advised to stay tuned for future updates regarding the Sick New World Festival.
