Saxon has revealed that British rock legends Girlschool will be joining them as the main support act on their upcoming Hell, Fire and Steel European tour. The two powerhouse bands, longtime friends and collaborators, are set to bring fans a high-octane, unforgettable live experience.
Saxon frontman Biff Byford shared his excitement: “Great to be working with our longtime friends, the metal titans Girlschool… Bring it on!” Girlschool’s Kim McAuliffe added, “We’re so excited and looking forward to touring with our old mates the mighty Saxon again! What an adventure!”
The tour, set to kick off on February 4th in Bremen, Germany, has already made waves, with shows in Stockholm and Huskvarna selling out quickly. Saxon will perform songs from their recent Hell, Fire and Damnation album, which has received strong reviews, along with a special treat for fans: they’ll play their classic Wheels of Steel album in its entirety to celebrate its 45th anniversary. This iconic album, featuring legendary tracks like “Motorcycle Man” and “747 (Strangers in the Night),” remains a staple of the heavy metal genre.
Additionally, Saxon’s March 6th date in Düsseldorf will feature a very special guest, rounding out the powerhouse lineup. Girlschool will bring their own brand of rock energy, hot off the heels of their critically acclaimed album WTFortyfive?, which includes a reworked version of Motörhead’s “Born to Raise Hell” featuring Saxon’s Biff Byford.
Tickets for the Hell, Fire and Steel tour are selling fast, and with some shows already sold out, fans are advised to secure their tickets soon for what promises to be an unforgettable metal event.
