Musikfest 2025 in Bethlehem has announced two major headliners for next year’s festival: folk-rock icons The Avett Brothers and country music star Darius Rucker. The performances will take place on the Wind Creek Steel Stage, with The Avett Brothers scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, August 2, and Rucker set to take the stage at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 3.
These announcements mark the second and third headliners for the 2025 festival. Last month, country singer Riley Green was revealed as the opening night headliner for the event. Both The Avett Brothers and Darius Rucker have a history with Musikfest, having previously headlined the festival multiple times. The Avett Brothers made their mark in 2014 and 2016, while Rucker sold out shows in 2013 and 2015 before returning for a 2021 performance postponed due to the pandemic.
The Avett Brothers, known for their eclectic Americana sound blending country, bluegrass, and rock, are four-time Grammy nominees. Their 2009 album I and Love and You earned them widespread recognition. Rucker, initially famous as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish, launched a successful solo career in 2008. With four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart, including hits like Learn to Live and True Believers, Rucker has become a staple in country music. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2012 and has won three Grammy Awards, including Best Solo Country Performance for Wagon Wheel in 2014.
Tickets for both concerts will be available starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday for ArtsQuest members and at 10 a.m. Friday for the general public. Prices range from $49 to $119. The 42nd edition of Musikfest will take place from August 1-10, 2025.
