Lainey Wilson will be honored as Storyteller of the Year at Variety’s prestigious annual Hitmakers event. The recognition celebrates Wilson’s emergence as one of the most influential voices in country music today.
Jem Aswad, executive music editor at Variety, praised Wilson for her undeniable impact, saying, “Lainey has established herself as one of the most important new voices in country music.”

Other honorees at the event include Jelly Roll, who will receive the Changemaker of the Year award, and Shaboozey, the recipient of the Newcomers Award. Reba McEntire and pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo are among the stars slated to present.
