Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is adding a country twist to its 2025 celebration, with country superstars Cody Johnson, Thomas Rhett, and Teddy Swims among the first performers announced for the iconic ABC special.
Johnson, fresh off a CMA Award win for Album of the Year, will make his debut on the star-studded New Year’s Eve broadcast, likely joining the festivities live from New York City’s Times Square. Rhett and Swims, who recently teamed up for the viral duet “Somethin’ Bout A Woman,” are expected to perform the track during the evening, bringing their infectious energy to the stage.
In addition to the country acts, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will also feature performances by music legend Lenny Kravitz and R&B singer Tinashe, with more performers to be revealed in the coming weeks.
This will not be Rhett’s first time celebrating in Times Square—he previously headlined the 2016 edition of the event alongside DNCE, Gloria Estefan, and Mariah Carey, adding to his growing list of unforgettable performances.
As the countdown to 2025 approaches, fans can look forward to a vibrant mix of musical genres and high-energy performances, making this year’s Rockin’ Eve a must-watch event.
