Blake Shelton has unveiled the music video for his new single “Texas,” a track inspired by the country legend George Strait. The song marks Shelton’s debut with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville and Wheelhouse Records.
Written by Johnny Clawson, Kyle Sturrock, Josh Dorr, and Lalo Guzman, “Texas” is produced by Shelton’s longtime collaborator, Scott Hendricks. The track’s distinctive sound stood out to Shelton, who describes it as a refreshing departure from his usual style.
“I was immediately struck by how different ‘Texas’ sounded for me,” Shelton said. “I’m always looking to push myself, and this song felt like the perfect way to start a new chapter in my career. It connects with my past work but also takes my sound in a fresh direction.”
With its rich blend of tradition and innovation, “Texas” sets the stage for Shelton’s next musical journey.
