Texas-based metal music band OVERT ENEMY has unveiled a new, electrifying performance video for their track “Eradication,” offering fans a fierce preview of what’s to come from their upcoming full-length album, Insurrection, set for release in Fall 2025.
The video highlights the band’s raw power and precision, immersing viewers in the aggressive energy that defines OVERT ENEMY. Eradication is the first piece of a larger musical narrative, forming part of a three-song arc centered on an alien invasion. The track, marked by blistering guitars and theatrical vocals, introduces the perspective of the invaders as they embark on an interstellar assault.
“We wanted to create something that’s both technical and fun,” said the band. “‘Eradication’ is one of our more complex songs, and it’s really fun to play. It’s theatrical, with Laura playing the role of the ‘alien queen.’ We’re having a blast with this concept.”
Insurrection—which evolved from an initial EP concept into a full-length saga—promises to be a metal journey filled with cosmic themes, rebellion, and intricate storytelling, drawing influence from legendary albums like those by RUSH and MASTODON. The album’s release will coincide with an expansion of the visual and thematic world created by the band in their lyric videos.
Fans can now experience the high-octane energy of “Eradication” through the newly released lyric video, setting the stage for the full alien invasion when Insurrection drops on September 26, 2025.
