JYP USA has issued an official response to the lawsuit filed by Kiera Grace Madder, also known as KG, who is seeking to terminate her contract with the company. The legal action follows a statement from KG on her Instagram Stories, where she revealed that she had taken steps to end her involvement with the girl group VCHA.

In their statement, JYP USA addressed the situation, explaining that KG had left the pop music group residence in May and initiated discussions through her legal team. Despite attempts to resolve the matter, the company stated that they had not received any further communication from KG’s representatives.

“We are truly disturbed that KG would file a lawsuit and make public one-sided, false, and exaggerated statements,” JYP USA said. “This has greatly damaged the other members of VCHA and the team at JYP USA, who have worked diligently on the group’s debut album and upcoming projects.”

The company also emphasized its commitment to protecting the interests of the remaining members of VCHA and JYP USA, pledging to take appropriate legal action to prevent further harm.

VCHA, a girl group formed through the joint project A2K (America2Korea) in 2023, has faced setbacks, including pulling out of a planned Lollapalooza performance earlier this year.
