Ice Cube has made a major comeback on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart, debuting at No. 8 with Man Down. This marks the iconic rapper’s first solo top 10 entry in 14 years. The album, released on November 22 through Lench Mob/Hitmaker Music Group, accumulated 20,000 equivalent album units in its first week, ending November 28.
Man Down garnered 15,000 album sales, securing its place as the second-highest-selling rap album of the week, following Kendrick Lamar’s GNX with 32,000 units sold. The album also landed at No. 9 on the all-genre Top Album Sales chart.
This new achievement adds to Ice Cube’s impressive legacy, as he now has four solo albums that have reached the Top 10 on the Top Rap Albums chart. His previous top 10 entries include Laugh Now, Cry Later (No. 2, 2006), Raw Footage (No. 1, 2008), and I Am the West (No. 6, 2010).
