Indian rock band Zero reunited at the Bandland Music Festival in Bengaluru, marking their first reunion performance in two years. Known for their pioneering role in the Indian rock scene, Zero’s reunion was met with excitement and nostalgia, especially as they continue to draw new fans to their music from the late ’90s and early 2000s.
Despite disbanding in 2008, the iconic group—comprising vocalist Rajeev Talwar and guitarist Warren Mendonsa, who now reside in the UK and New Zealand—has maintained a strong following. Their reunion gigs have been a testament to the lasting impact of their three independent albums, Albummed (2000), Hook (2002), and Procrastination (2005), which defied the dominance of Hindi pop music at the time.
