Iowa City’s Mission Creek Festival, a beloved spring event celebrating music and literature, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025 with a diverse and dynamic lineup. The festival, set to take place from April 3-5, will showcase an eclectic range of artists, including a special appearance by a hip-hop legend.
Taking place at venues such as Hancher Auditorium, The Englert Theatre, and Gabe’s, the festival marks a significant milestone, as it will also be the final season of The Englert Theatre’s involvement in producing the spring event, making way for new opportunities and programming.
“Mission Creek has been a cornerstone of independent art for two decades, and this year, we celebrate both our legacy and the exciting future ahead,” said Festival Co-Founder and Artistic Director Andre Perry. “We’re excited to feature artists who embody the festival’s innovative spirit and its deep connection to Iowa City.”
The 2025 edition will feature both legendary performers and familiar faces from past years, ensuring a memorable celebration of the festival’s rich history. Ticket passes for the event are now available.
