U.K. rap music sensation Pozer caps off an incredible 2024 with the release of his new single “Aquatic,” a psych-influenced track that adds to a year filled with commercial and critical milestones.
The Croydon artist, who has made waves in the rap scene with his unique blend of drill, grime, and Jersey club influences, follows up his recent collaboration with AJ Tracey on “Heaterz,” which featured a sample of Ironsoul’s “Gunshot Riddim.” The track’s release comes just weeks after Pozer was nominated for both Best Newcomer and Best Drill Act at the 2024 MOBO Awards.
“Aquatic” marks the end of a standout year for the 22-year-old, who made history in April as the first British rapper to land his debut singles—“Kitchen Stove” and “Malicious Intentions”—in the U.K. Top 40 simultaneously. His meteoric rise has also included TV appearances, such as his debut on Later… With Jools Holland, and endorsements from U.K. rap icons Dave and Skepta.
Although Pozer has yet to tour or play major festivals, he has refined his live performance with notable appearances on Boiler Room, BBC Radio 1, and viral freestyles with DJ AG. Looking ahead, Pozer’s star continues to rise with a spot on the BBC Radio 1 Sound of… longlist and inclusion in tastemaker guides from VEVO and Dazed.
Reflecting on his journey, Pozer shared “I didn’t believe it was happening at first, and it’s only now that I’m realizing people are really taking me in.” As his profile grows, Pozer remains committed to his craft, determined to keep speaking his truth through his music.
