Carrie Underwood is set to ring in the new year with an unforgettable performance at Times Square for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, marking her return to the iconic event.
The country superstar shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram, announcing, “I’ll be closing out 2024 as I perform LIVE from Times Square on @RockinEve just before the ball drops! So excited to end the year with you @RyanSeacrest.”
This will not be Underwood’s first time performing at the event; she previously took the stage during the 2007 and 2015 broadcasts. Reflecting on her past performances, the 41-year-old singer said, “I have such fun memories of performing on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square, and I’m so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year.” She also expressed excitement about celebrating the 20th anniversary of her American Idol win alongside host Ryan Seacrest, who will be hosting his 20th New Year’s Eve in Times Square.
Underwood is just one of many major artists scheduled to perform. Country stars Thomas Rhett, Megan Moroney, and Cody Johnson will also take the stage in New York, while the West Coast party portion will feature performances by ERNEST, HARDY, Alanis Morissette, and others.
