Award-winning country music duo The Shires are set to perform at Parr Hall on May 16, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. as part of their intimate acoustic tour. Comprising Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, The Shires have become one of the most successful and influential country acts in the UK, with a career spanning over a decade.
The duo first gained attention with their 2014 hit “Nashville Grey Skies,” a song that championed the growth of the country music scene in Britain. Since then, The Shires have played a pivotal role in shaping the UK’s country music landscape. Their debut album Brave (2015) made history as the first top 10 album by a UK country artist, a feat that helped establish them as trailblazers in the genre.
The duo’s string of successful albums continued with My Universe (2016), Accidentally On Purpose (2018), Good Years (2020), and 10 Year Plan (2022), cementing their place as one of the leading voices in UK country music. Along the way, they earned recognition in Nashville, with two prestigious Country Music Association (CMA) awards and collaborations with country legends such as Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, and Irish band The Corrs.
With three consecutive top-three UK albums, four number one UK Country albums, and two Gold-certified records to their name, The Shires’ influence is undeniable. They have surpassed 100 million streams and have sold out major venues, including a celebrated performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
Tickets for The Shires’ upcoming show at Parr Hall are now on sale, starting at £35. For more information, visit the venue’s website or call 01925 442345.
