Miley Cyrus is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, set to drop in 2025. After two years since the release of Endless Summer Vacation in 2023, fans can expect a fresh, bold direction from the pop icon.
Cyrus revealed that Something Beautiful will not only feature new music but will be presented as a visual album. Describing the album’s concept, Cyrus explained, “The visual component of this is driving the sound,” hinting at a creative fusion of music and imagery that will define this new era.
While the official release date remains unconfirmed, Cyrus shared exciting details about the album’s production. Her longtime boyfriend, Maxx Morando, the drummer for the rock band Liily, played a significant role in the creation of the album. He co-produced several tracks and helped co-write the title song, Something Beautiful.
Cyrus also spoke about the emotional depth behind the album, describing it as a reflection on the “nastiest times” in life, which, despite their pain, carry an underlying beauty. “Whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty,” she said, comparing the album to a painting where shadows and highlights coexist.
