Iconic rock vocalist Lou Gramm, best known for his powerful voice as the frontman of Foreigner, is preparing to deliver what may be his final concert in the Northeast. The legendary singer will perform at Batavia Downs Gaming in Batavia, New York, on August 1, 2025, marking a poignant farewell to his hometown audience. Located just a short drive from Gramm’s birthplace in Rochester, the venue will host an emotional show featuring some of his biggest hits, including “Cold as Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Juke Box Hero.”
Gramm confirmed that this concert would be his last in the region before retiring. Reflecting on his decision, he shared his desire to reconnect with parts of his life that he had set aside during his extensive music career. “I’ve got a lot of things in my life that have been somewhat neglected, and I’d like to climb back into some things I’ve had to put to the side,” Gramm explained.
Gramm, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Foreigner earlier this year, had mixed feelings about the band’s performance selection for the ceremony. However, he seems resolute in his decision to step away from the spotlight. Although he had hinted at retiring from touring as early as 2018, Gramm confirmed that 2024 would be his final year on the road.
Tickets for the August 1 concert are now available on Eventbrite, with front-row seats priced at $75 and general admission tickets available for $20. Fans of the iconic rock singer will surely want to be part of this historic, and possibly final, performance in the region.
