Country music artist Derek Ryan is gearing up for more success in 2025 with the announcement of an exciting collaboration with iconic folk duo Foster & Allen.
Ryan, originally from Carlow and now based in Enniskillen, has teamed up with the legendary pair for a new single titled “The Good Ole Days.” This track will be part of 50 AT 50, the highly anticipated album marking Foster & Allen’s 50th anniversary in the music industry. Set for release on February 28, the album will feature a mix of beloved classics and 14 fresh recordings, reflecting the duo’s five-decade-long career and their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots.
The collaboration with Ryan is one of the album’s standout moments, further cementing the Enniskillen native’s place in the Irish music scene. Ryan, who continues to build on his growing popularity, recently released his album Long Shot Love, which has garnered positive reviews. The 14-track collection includes an emotional tribute to his late mother, “The Flower,” a song that resonates deeply with anyone who has experienced loss. Ryan explained, “The song is from the perspective of going back home after some time and realizing someone is gone. I feel anyone who has lost someone could relate to it.”
Looking ahead to 2025, Ryan is preparing for a busy year, beginning with two major concerts at the Killyhevlin Hotel in Enniskillen on January 10 and 11. Additionally, Ryan has confirmed plans to take his music tour across the UK, continuing to expand his fan base and showcase his heartfelt songwriting.
With 50 AT 50 and his own rising career, Derek Ryan’s music continues to touch hearts and earn him a spot at the forefront of the country and folk music scenes.
