As Nashville rang in 2025, Jelly Roll took a moment during his headlining performance at New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash to honor the late Toby Keith. Performing before a packed crowd at Bicentennial Park, Jelly Roll paid tribute to Keith, who passed away in February, by delivering a powerful rendition of Keith’s classic debut single, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.”
The heartfelt tribute was part of Jelly Roll’s opening set, which began with his emotional track “I Am Not Okay.” He then transitioned to his uplifting hit “Need a Favor,” accompanied by a trio of background vocalists. Despite the somber tribute, the energy in Nashville remained high, with the celebration continuing well into the night.
Big Bash New Year’s Eve 2025 also featured performances from country stars like Keith Urban, who co-hosted the event with Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith, and Kane Brown. The night was filled with special appearances from major artists, including Post Malone, Shaboozey, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Big & Rich, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Tyler Hubbard, Lainey Wilson, Brittney Spencer, Chris Stapleton, and Zach Top. The star-studded festivities ensured that the Music City celebration was one to remember.
