Randall King, the West Texas-born country artist, is bringing his blend of traditional and modern country to Phil Long Music Hall, continuing his rise as a major force in country music.

King’s love for the genre began at a young age, accompanying his trucker father on long highway drives, where the two would listen to classic country hits—particularly those by Hank Williams Sr. and Jr.

“My dad introduced me to country music out there on the highways,” King recalls. “I fell in love with it. It inspired me. I loved the melodies, loved the songs, the writing. It shaped me as an artist. … It’s all I wanted to do.”

Now, as a recognized talent in the industry, King has been named a “Country Artist to Watch” by Pandora and Music Mayhem Magazine. His latest release, Into the Neon, marks a new chapter in his sound, blending his traditional country roots with a bit more edge. The 18-track album, which King describes as inspired by the music of ’90s country stars like Gary Allan and Dierks Bentley, is a nod to what King considers the “best era of country music.”

“We just put a little edge on it,” King says. “It’s still me, still traditional, still country.”

As he hits the road, King is ready to showcase the evolution of his sound to fans across the country, bringing his fresh take on classic country to new audiences.
