Nik Bonitto’s Song ‘Sydney Sweeney’ Celebrates Broncos’ Playoff Berth

by Barbara

The Denver Broncos marked the end of their playoff drought in dramatic fashion, and they had a unique celebration to go along with it. After their commanding 38-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, the team played a special, yet-to-be-released rap track by star pass rusher Nik Bonitto.

Titled “Sydney Sweeney,” the song, according to fellow Broncos defender Malcolm Roach, was played in the locker room as the team celebrated their playoff berth. The Broncos’ defense, led by Bonitto, has been a key factor in the team’s success this season, with Denver finishing the year with an NFL-best 63 sacks. Bonitto, who recorded 13.5 sacks, including two in the Chiefs’ shutout, has been instrumental in helping propel the team into the postseason.

“This is a good song to jump around to,” Roach said. “It’s got a good beat, and you would never know it’s Nik rapping. I was dancing—‘Sydney Sweeney’ is definitely a vibe.” Roach, who hasn’t played in a postseason game during his career, expressed his excitement over the win and the celebration.

The song’s title, “Sydney Sweeney,” is a nod to the breakout actress known for her roles in Euphoria and White Lotus. As Sweeney continues to make a name for herself in Hollywood, Bonitto’s track is generating buzz, potentially primed to take off in a similar fashion to LiAngelo Ball’s viral song.

With Bonitto’s playoff debut on the horizon, his musical talents are adding another layer to the Broncos’ remarkable postseason story.
