Tucker Wetmore has achieved a major milestone in his career, securing his first No. 1 hit at US Country Radio with the viral track “Wind Up Missin’ You.” The song claimed the top spot in Mediabase’s latest tracking period, marking an impressive feat for the rising country star.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that “Wind Up Missin’ You” is only Wetmore’s second release, following the debut single “Wine Into Whiskey” in February 2024. This rapid success underscores the Washington native’s meteoric rise in the country music scene, with Wetmore now firmly positioned as one of Nashville’s most promising new talents.
As Wetmore gears up for his highly anticipated debut album, he will also hit the road in 2025 for his Waves on a Sunset tour. The tour will include his debut European performances in March, including appearances at the UK’s C2C Festival 2025, as well as shows in the Netherlands and C2C Berlin.
Meanwhile, the current Mediabase Country Top Five features Dylan Marlowe and Dylan Scott’s “Boys Back Home” and George Birge’s “Cowboy Songs,” with Birge’s track reaching No. 1 in mid-December. Marlowe, who is still in pursuit of his first chart-topping hit as a lead artist, previously earned a No. 1 as a songwriter for Jon Pardi’s “Last Night Lonely” in 2022.
