The Ohio Country Music Hall of Fame has announced that bluegrass legends Paul “Moon” Mullins and his son, Joe Mullins, will be inducted in 2025, recognizing their significant contributions to both bluegrass music and radio broadcasting in Ohio.
Joe Mullins, known for his successful band, The Radio Ramblers, and his Real Roots Radio network in southwestern Ohio, has become a prominent figure in the bluegrass scene. He also organizes the Industrial Strength Bluegrass festivals twice a year. While Joe’s talents and achievements are widely acknowledged, he credits much of his success to his father, Paul, who inspired his love for bluegrass, gospel music, and radio broadcasting.
Jackie Thomas, Director of the Ohio Country Music Hall of Fame, praised the Mullinses’ dedication: “Paul and Joe Mullins have made it their mission to promote and preserve Ohio’s rich musical legacy, a commitment that aligns perfectly with our mission to ‘preserve the past in order to ensure the future.'”
The induction ceremony will take place on April 26 at the Keepin’ It Country Farm in Waynesville, OH, starting at 7 p.m. The Radio Ramblers and The Richard Lynch Band will perform, and tickets for the event are available for purchase online.
Congratulations to Joe and Paul Mullins on this well-deserved recognition!
