Beej Chaney, co-founder of the renowned Twin Cities punk rock band The Suburbs, has died at the age of 68. His body was discovered on Hermosa Beach in California, where he had been swimming in his customary ritual in the Pacific Ocean, a passion he had maintained for years.
Chaney’s body was found after a call was made to local authorities . The Hermosa Beach Police Department confirmed that the death was accidental, though they did not initially release the identity of the victim. However, Adam Fitzpatrick, Chaney’s personal assistant, confirmed the musician’s passing.
