Chicago-based singer-songwriter Neal Francis has released the music video for his latest single, “What’s Left Of Me,” a track from his highly anticipated album Return To Zero, set to drop on March 14 via ATO Records.
After a three-year hiatus, Return To Zero marks Francis’ return with his most ambitious and expansive work to date. The album combines the timeless energy of rock ‘n’ roll with the infectious rhythms of ’70s-era dance music, creating a vibrant fusion that pushes musical boundaries. True to his analog roots, Francis crafted the entire album without the use of digital programming, maintaining his dedication to an authentic, raw sound.
“What’s Left Of Me” introduces the album with its power pop sensibilities, blending heavy guitar riffs with lush, pulsating grooves. The song, co-written with Nashville-based hitmaker Chris Gelbuda, offers a candid reflection on the emotional toll of life on the road, particularly on relationships. Francis, who has long admired the orchestral pop stylings of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), was inspired by Jeff Lynne’s fusion of classical music and pop to create the track’s expansive, cinematic sound.
The official music video for “What’s Left Of Me” is available for streaming, offering fans a visual companion to the song’s evocative narrative. With the release of this powerful anthem, Francis sets the stage for Return To Zero, an album that promises to be a captivating musical journey.
