Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” has reached a monumental achievement, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify. The track, which has already earned recognition as the top rap song of 2024, topped the charts twice, and became both Apple Music’s most-streamed and the best-selling song of last year, continues to break records.
The song’s latest achievement—becoming the first diss track to reach the billion-stream mark—was reported by NFR Podcast. As of now, “Not Like Us” has accumulated over 1 billion streams, a feat it accomplished in just a few months since its release last May.
The song’s rise to prominence has garnered even more attention in light of recent legal disputes. Drake, the subject of the track, has filed legal claims against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the company of artificially inflating the song’s streams through the use of bots and payola. The controversy surrounding the track centers on Drake’s allegations of defamation, with him claiming that the song falsely accuses him of being a pedophile.
Despite the ongoing legal drama, “Not Like Us” remains a record-breaking hit, solidifying Kendrick Lamar’s dominance in the rap scene.
