Milwaukee native and rising rap music artist Josiah Gillie, professionally known as J.P., is set to return to his roots with a special performance at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) this January. The event marks a homecoming for the 20-year-old rapper, who is also an alumnus of the university.
Titled “J.P. Presents: Back in the Groove,” the concert will take place in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room on Thursday, Jan. 23, from 8-9 p.m. Tickets are $15 plus fees for the general public and free for UWSP students with a valid university ID. Tickets must be reserved or purchased online. The event is restricted to attendees aged 18 and over, with no exceptions for minors, even if accompanied by an adult. Bags, coats, and carry-ins are prohibited, though coats and bags can be checked in a non-secure area.
