Justin Bieber may be gearing up for a highly anticipated return to music. On January 15, the pop star shared a tantalizing teaser on his Instagram Story, offering a sneak peek into what could be his next project.
The brief video shows Bieber driving while listening to a song in which he both sings and raps over a minimalist instrumental. Accompanying the clip were film and handwriting emojis, suggesting that he’s not only crafting new music but also working on visual elements to accompany the release.
Should the 2021 Justice album be followed by a new release, it will mark Bieber’s first full album since then. While he has dropped a few new tracks in the meantime, such as the 2022 collaboration “Attention” with Omah Lay and a 2023 acoustic rendition of SZA’s “Snooze,” a full album has yet to materialize.
Rumors of a Bieber comeback have been circulating recently, fueled by reports of financial pressure, including unpaid fees from his canceled Justice World Tour. Sources suggest Bieber has enlisted a new attorney and is actively working on fresh music, with live performances potentially on the horizon.
Producer Mk.gee also contributed to the speculation, revealing in September 2024 that he had been working with Bieber on new material. He described Bieber’s approach to music as a search for the perfect sound, saying, “Anything that comes out of his mouth: That’s pop music. You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.”
With a new era on the horizon, fans are eagerly awaiting Bieber’s next musical chapter.
