Thrash metal pioneers Exodus are turning a new page with the announcement that they’ve parted ways with longtime vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza and are reuniting with former frontman Rob Dukes. The band made the announcement on social media, expressing gratitude for Souza’s contributions while revealing their excitement for Dukes’ return.

In their statement, Exodus thanked Souza for his years with the band, noting, “We wish him only the best in the future and much success with anything he does.” The band then welcomed Dukes back, saying, “We are beyond stoked to have Rob back ripping up the stage with us.” Dukes originally replaced Souza in 2005 and fronted the band until 2014, leaving a significant mark on their sound during his tenure.

The upcoming album will be the follow-up to Exodus’ 2021 release Persona Non Grata, with Dukes returning just in time to contribute to the new material. Fans can expect the same high-energy performances and thrashing anthems that defined Exodus during Dukes’ previous run.
