In a standout performance that marks another milestone for the band, The Red Clay Strays became the latest country music act to grace NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series, just two months after fellow independent artist Wyatt Flores appeared.
The Tiny Desk Concert format, which usually features artists performing a three- to four-song set behind the desk of former All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen, has become a prestigious platform for showcasing talent across genres, from Mac Miller to Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers.
For their appearance, The Red Clay Strays offered an electrifying five-song set from their sophomore album, Made by These Moments. Although the performance stayed true to their studio sound, the Alabama-based band captivated listeners with tracks like “Wanna Be Loved” and “I’m Still Fine.” Once again, they solidified their place not just as a top country band, but as one of the most exciting acts in all of music.
