Navajo hip-hop artist and producer Cecil Tso, known professionally as Tsoh Tso, has released his first solo album, Finding Our Balance. The album reflects his personal journey navigating the complexities of identity and cultural conflict.
Raised in both Phoenix and Flagstaff, Tso’s life was marked by tragedy when his mother passed away when he was just 10 years old. Adopted by his grandparents, he moved to the Navajo Nation but continued his education in Flagstaff. This dual existence left him feeling torn between two worlds, a theme that resonates deeply throughout Finding Our Balance.
Tso recently joined The Show to discuss the emotional and cultural challenges that inspired the album, offering insight into how he balanced these conflicting identities throughout his life.
