K-pop legends G-Dragon and 2NE1 are set to headline one of the biggest global festivals for Asian artists in the U.S., “Head In The Clouds Los Angeles 2025.” Organized by the Asian-American entertainment company 88rising, the festival will take place at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on May 31 and June 1.
Alongside G-Dragon and 2NE1, the festival’s star-studded lineup includes Korean rapper Dean, Korean-Australian R&B artist DPR Ian, and his crew. “Head In The Clouds” (HITC) is 88rising’s flagship festival, created to showcase Asian artists to a global audience. Since its inception, it has become one of the most influential music festivals for Asian talent, with last year’s LA edition featuring acts like (G)I-dle and Young Posse.
G-Dragon, who will release his highly anticipated third album, Ubermensch, on February 25, is set to deliver new music to fans. This marks his first studio album in over a decade. Inspired by Nietzsche’s philosophy, Ubermensch signifies G-Dragon’s drive to evolve into a stronger and more impactful artist. His prerelease singles “Power” and “Home Sweet Home” have already made a global impact, with “Power” surpassing 100 million streams on YouTube Music.
2NE1, also making waves globally, has been on a 12-city “Welcome Back” tour to celebrate their 15th anniversary. Their 27-show tour has attracted 220,000 fans, with the grand finale set for April 12-13 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul.
Both acts’ performances at HITC Los Angeles are expected to be historic, marking a thrilling return to the stage for these K-pop icons.
