Despite his long and successful career in country music, Wade Hayes still has one major goal left on his bucket list: writing a hit song for another artist. The Oklahoma native recently shared with Everything Nash that this dream continues to drive him as he works on new music.
“I’m starting to work on a new record,” Hayes said. “I’ve got enough tunes written to do a new project. I’m really torn between doing a Greatest Hits album or creating all new material. I’m always focused on the future when it comes to my music, but I still have one dream left to realize—having another artist record a song I wrote and turn it into a hit.”
Hayes acknowledged that, while he’s yet to achieve this dream, he remains determined to make it happen. “That’s what I’m striving for,” he said. “I continue to write songs and make records, and hopefully, someone will hear something they love and record it. That would make the whole journey complete.”
While Hayes may not have reached this particular milestone yet, his impact on country music is undeniable. His legacy continues to inspire a new generation of artists in the genre.
