After dominating 2024 with her Brat era, Charli XCX is already pivoting to something entirely different for her next album. Brat co-writer and co-producer Finn Keane revealed that the pop star is exploring a new direction that might contrast sharply with her recent work.
Keane shared that Charli has expressed a desire to “do the complete opposite” of Brat, which aligns with her ongoing artistic evolution. He noted that the music they’ve been experimenting with in the past few months represents a fresh, radically different sound—one that’s “anti-Brat.” While Keane remains optimistic about what’s to come, he acknowledged the unpredictability of Charli’s creative process, hinting at a possible reinvention in the works.
The news comes just after Charli’s monumental Grammy win, with her track “Von Dutch” earning Best Dance Pop Recording and Brat claiming Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2025 ceremony. Fans can expect more surprises as she continues to push boundaries in her next musical chapter.
