Cebu-based indie pop artist IIICCCYYY has kicked off 2025 with the release of her latest single, “Pretty Pretty,” an upbeat, J-pop-inspired anthem that pays tribute to friendship and self-love.
The track was produced by Karl Lucente of Mandaue Nights, with mixing and mastering handled by Luke April of PLAYERTWO. In a press statement, IIICCCYYY described the song as a celebration of relationships that bring joy and confidence.
“I wanted to encapsulate the feeling of going out with people you love and just having fun,” she shared. “Personally, this song is a love letter to all my friends who showed me what true love really means.”
The single had been in development for some time, with IIICCCYYY and Lucente sharing a mutual vision for the track. She also embraced a lighthearted and playful approach to the song’s vibe, calling it a “liberating” experience. “It felt right to really lean into that energy,” she added.
With its infectious melody and heartfelt message, “Pretty Pretty” is set to be a feel-good anthem for 2025, reminding listeners to cherish the relationships that uplift them.
