French post-rock collective BRUIT ≤ have announced their highly anticipated new album, The Age of Ephemerality. Set for release in April 2025 via Pelagic Records, the album serves as the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2021 record, This Machine Is Burning And Now Everyone Knows It Could Happen Again.
In keeping with their staunch stance against major streaming platforms, the band has confirmed that The Age of Ephemerality will not be available on Spotify or other international services. This decision aligns with BRUIT ≤’s ongoing boycott of the platform, citing unfair artist compensation and CEO Daniel Ek’s controversial investments in the arms trade.
Written in the mountains and recorded in a church, the album reflects the band’s experimental approach to capturing the organic resonance of physical space—treating it as an instrument in itself, an element that cannot be artificially generated or digitally reproduced.
With their unwavering artistic integrity and commitment to sonic authenticity, BRUIT ≤ continue to push the boundaries of post-rock expression.
