Boston indie-rock band Slothrust has announced a rescheduled date for their Tampa concert, which had been postponed last month due to the widespread impact of the California wildfires. Originally planned to celebrate the 11-year anniversary of their breakout album Of Course You Do, the show will now take place on Sunday, April 27, at Crowbar in Ybor City.

The concert will feature special guests, Maine indie-rock band Weakened Friends. Tickets for the event, starting at $20, are still available, and those who had already purchased tickets will have them honored for the new date.

Slothrust’s drummer Will Gorin reflected on his musical approach, citing Miles Davis’ famous quote, “Music is the space between the notes.” Gorin emphasized the importance of filling that space with both symmetrical and asymmetrical patterns, a philosophy that influences the band’s unique blend of chaotic yet melodic alternative rock.

Slothrust, led by multi-talented Leah Wellbaum and Gorin, is known for its poetic lyrics and dynamic guitar solos, continuing to captivate fans with their innovative sound.
