Melon is hosting the “Coldplay Moon Music Seoul Pop-up” this month to celebrate the British band’s long-awaited return to Korea, the music platform announced on Monday.

The pop-up will be held at The Hyundai Seoul from Thursday through April 27, marking Coldplay’s first performance in Korea in eight years. It also celebrates the release of their 2024 album, Moon Music, which has topped charts worldwide.

Coldplay is scheduled to perform in Seoul for six dates as part of their ongoing Music of the Spheres world tour, including April 16, 18, 19, 22, 24, and 25.

Melon, operated by Kakao Entertainment, will feature special interactive zones and giveaways at its official booth, the “Melon Experience Zone.” The zone will include two sections: a listening station with curated playlists created in collaboration with Warner Music and a photo wall showcasing Coldplay’s 25-year music history.

Additionally, Melon has chosen Coldplay as the fourth artist in its “Artist Special” series. This will include both online and offline content, such as album breakdowns, user reviews, and activity highlights on the app.

Fans who visit the pop-up and are connected with Coldplay on Melon will receive free Melon streaming vouchers. They can also enter an in-app giveaway for a chance to win one of seven limited-edition Coldplay LPs.

Melon is continuing its fan-focused initiatives with programs like “Melon Spotlight,” which organizes fan meetups and video call events, and “TrackZero,” which supports indie musicians and the Hongdae Live Club Day. The platform’s “Hi-RiSiNG” program also helps new artists with debut showcase opportunities.

Through these digital and offline experiences, Melon aims to offer a unique “music life” for both fans and artists.

Coldplay, the four-member band, is best known for hits like “Yellow” (2000), “In My Place” (2002), “Clocks” (2002), “Speed of Sound” (2005), “Fix You” (2005), “Viva la Vida” (2008), “Paradise” (2011), and “My Universe” (2021), a collaboration with BTS.
