San Francisco Bay Area heavy metal band SKINLAB is back with a vengeance, releasing a new music video for their single “Flesh Wounds.” The track has already gained traction, becoming one of the heaviest songs currently playing on SiriusXM. It has received praise from fans and heavy metal icon Jose Mangin, who has called it a standout hit. With its powerful riffs and intense energy, “Flesh Wounds” showcases the band’s return in full force.
In addition to the video, SKINLAB is excited to announce that guitarist Angelo Miles has joined the lineup. He will play alongside vocalist/bassist Steev Esquivel, guitarist Marcos Medina, and drummer Fabian Vestod. Miles’ addition brings fresh energy to the band, enhancing their signature heavy sound.
“Angelo is a powerhouse on guitar, and he fits perfectly with SKINLAB,” said Esquivel. “He’s already bringing something special to the table, and we can’t wait for fans to experience what’s coming.”
The “Flesh Wounds” music video, directed by Karl Winnery, offers a gritty, cinematic experience that complements the track’s raw intensity.
Looking ahead, SKINLAB is preparing to release a new full-length album this summer, their first since 2019’s “Venomous.” The band is also planning major tour announcements in the near future.
Formed in 1994, SKINLAB has been a mainstay in the American heavy metal scene. They have released influential albums such as Bound, Gagged and Blindfolded (1997), Disembody: The New Flesh (1999), and ReVoltingRoom (2002), followed by The Scars Between Us (2009) and Venomous (2019). Known for their intense live shows and a blend of groove, thrash, and aggression, SKINLAB continues to push the limits of heavy music.
Throughout their career, SKINLAB has seen several lineup changes, but Esquivel has remained the constant member.
