After her viral VMAs moment with Justin Timberlake, Megan Thee Stallion has spoken out.
Following rumors that the two musicians had a heated exchange at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, Megan has clarified that they did not fight.
The 28-year-old star recently said. “I definitely want to do a song with him.”
The pair went viral after a clip surfaced of Justin leaning over to talk to Megan, who was seen pointing her finger and shaking her head violently as she spoke to the NSYNC star and bandmate Joey Fatone. She then turned away, looking irritated.
“I don’t have any apps on my phone right now, like social media-wise, so I didn’t know what the hell anybody was talking about. And my friend called me and she said, ‘Did you get in a fight with Justin Timberlake? I was like, ‘Why would you ask me that? Like, in what world would you say [I was] fighting with Justin Timberlake? What are you talking about?'” Megan remembered.
She added, “Then when someone showed me the video, I was like, ‘Oh, my God! I am talking with my hands! I’m not fighting with no freaking Justin Timberlake.'”
She and Justin, 42, bonded over their shared astrological sign, Aquarius, the Savage rapper told the outlet. She added that she also struggled to hear him as they were chatting.
“I was just telling him, like, ‘No, no, no. I can’t hear you. I have my earbuds in. This meeting right here does not count. I’ll meet you after,'” she recalled.
