Lorde has revealed that she is suffering from heartbreak and a number of health issues.
The 26-year-old revealed she has stopped taking medication for an undisclosed illness in a candid email to her subscribers.
“The little yellow pill I took every morning for thousands of mornings since I was 15, I stopped taking it 5 days ago. Gonna see how it goes,” she wrote.
Lorde, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor, explained that she was trying to teach herself to listen to her body, which made her “totally conscious” of all the times she was neglecting or ignoring it and “taking a fistful of pill and pushing it.”
Explaining her current health issues, Lorde continued, “My body is really inflamed, it’s trying to tell me something and I’m trying to support it but nothing seems to help and I get frustrated. My gut isn’t working right, my skin is worse than ever, I’ve been sick half a dozen times.”
Alongside the health update, the New Zealand singer also revealed to her fans that she was ‘living with heartbreak again’, leading fans to question if she had broken up with her long-term lover, music producer Justin Warren.
