Stray Kids was named to TIME magazine’s list of Next Generation Leaders.
The eight-member K-pop group was honored on Thursday as one of the publication’s Next Generation Leaders.
The inclusion of the group on the list comes a month after three members, Lee Know, Hyunjin and Seungmin, were admitted to hospital following a “minor car accident”. Two Stray Kids performances were canceled as a result, and remaining members Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN played their scheduled Global Citizen Festival show as 3RACHA instead of the full group.
The Stray Kids were not the only K-pop group to make it onto the list – the five-piece girl group NewJeans also received the honor.
Music producer Bizarrap, actress Florence Pugh, fashion designer Kim Sui, YouTube creator Dhruv Rathee, drag performer Patty Gonea, golf star Matt Fitzpatrick, and TikTok influencer Drew Afualo were also included.
